Calling All Convention-Goers!

Do your part for AIAPV and become a delegate to the Miami convention. Delegates vote in the election of national officers and take part in the annual business meeting. To be given a delegate card you must be willing to do the following: attend the candidate speeches and regional caucus on Thursday (10-12:30), vote in the election Thursday or Friday and (this the critical piece) attend the Business Meeting at 8:30 Saturday Morning.

Montgomery College Summer Courses

Principles of Sustainability and Green Architecture (CT107)
[1 college credit = 15 Learning Units after a copy of the transcript is sent to the local AIA chapter or State Board]

•The course examines materials, construction methods, site planning, and programming, which offer sustainable solutions to design problems. It also assesses energy systems and concepts.
•This course can serve as the "educational pre-requisite" to taking the USGBC Green Associate LEED Exam.
•Meets Tuesday evening from 6 to 8:40 pm from June 2 to June 30, 2010

Introduction to AutoCAD (CT183 CAD)
[4 college credits = 60 Learning Units after a copy of the transcript is sent to the local AIA chapter or State Board]

•Focuses on the mastering of AutoCAD commands and drawing techniques for design professionals in the field of architecture, design, and construction. Students create a series of drawings with the final assignment being a multi-page set of plans, elevations, and details
•Meets Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 11 to 4 pm from June 1 to July 1, 2010
