Attendees will learn best practices for the design and integration of audiovisual (AV) technology and enjoy a tour of the new Gaylord Resort located on 42 acres on the banks of the Potomac River in Prince George’s County.
Attendees will see a new conferencing facility which includes presentation systems, videoconferencing suites, audio conferencing and digital signage using sophisticated technologies that are intuitive and simple to operate.
The Gaylord features a networked AV system providing background music delivery, sound reinforcement, audio/lighting control and video distribution to all of the public spaces and outdoor areas of the hotel, as well as 650,000 square feet of convention space comprising four ballrooms, 55 meeting rooms, and a 180,000 square foot exhibit hall — all controlled by hardware contained in 44 full height equipment racks in 12 AV closets.
Attendees will tour a variety of AV spaces including: stand-alone audio systems in restaurants and retail shops and the hotel’s spa and fitness center; presentation/audio conferencing systems for sales rooms, meeting rooms and boardrooms; home-theater style systems for luxury hotel suites; and the National Pastime Sports Bar featuring a 32’ wide curved video wall capable of displaying up to 12 discreet HD channels at any time.
